LA Times Editorial on Online Casinos 15 Jun 2006 In the above mentioned LA Times Editorial the attempts to ban online casinos is not taken seriously at all, especially considering the fact that the house bills wouldn’t outlaw online betting on horse racing, which Congress allowed states to authorize in 2000. In the editorial they explain that Congress should be pushing for the legalization of online casinos explaining that through the legalization of online casinos, the industry will be watched carefully and the sites will be more secure than ever with no room for any funny business.
It is ridiculous not to legalize online casinos. Online casinos are a wonderful form of entertainment and people are going to gamble at online casinos if they are legal or not and it is going to be extremely difficult to stop them. Law enforcement would mean literally monitoring everyone’s online activity which many will feel to be an invasion of their privacy.
Online casinos are fun and exciting. People enjoy the fact that they can play their favorite gambling games at online casinos in the comfort of their own home. If they don’t become legal people will still find a way to play so what’s the point? Why doesn’t the government just legalize online casinos and concentrate its energies on more pressing issues where they might really be able to make a difference that counts. |
